Passion or healthy(ish) obsession?

I’ve always had an eye for details. I think it probably goes back to being a Lego kid, which I never really grew out of. I’ve always wanted to create and fuss over the minutiae that no one else would ever end up noticing. Shooting and editing video seemed like a natural progression, and it’s probably the only thing I’m serious about in life.

I grew up in rural Northern California - not exactly a film hub, but I made do with self-teaching, community college classes, interning at the Humboldt Film Commissioner’s office, and volunteering for any available role on local production sets. I’d eventually make my way to The Bay Area to attend Academy of Art University while interning at NuReality Productions in Berkeley. The internship eventually turned into full-time employment, and I’ve been freelancing and honing my craft ever since.

While much of my experience is based in shooting and editing documentaries, I love creating short-form commercial and social media content for all types of clients. I’ve cut cooking tutorials, edited videos for apps, created fun educational content for former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich, built animations for tech startups, and filmed a plethora of conferences and live events. By all accounts I should start to feel burnt out, but I’m not there yet.

Open the metaphorical box of Legos with me, and allow me to obsess over the tiny details of your project so you don’t have to. Shoot me an email and let’s create something amazing.
